Gag cartoonists often find themselves returning to the same subjects, themes or cliches when coming up with ideas. These vary from cartoonist to cartoonist, and there are a number of different subjects that keep cropping up as inspiration for my work - often for no apparent reason!
God has made numerous appearances in my cartoons; I suppose He's an inherently interesting character to have fun with - you can find jokes in the unforgiving, vengeful God of the Old Testament, as well as the more nurturing depiction in the NT. And there's fun to be had from giving him 'human-like' troubles - as well as by having him interract with regular people.
